EZVIZ RTSP setup: local password, model and stream URL

The short answer

EZVIZ local connectivity depends on the product and firmware. Its current password guidance distinguishes local access from simply using the cloud-account login. Check whether your exact device offers RTSP, then use its configured local-connectivity password and documented stream address.

What to know for this brand

  • EZVIZ's current guidance ties the supported local-connectivity login password to the device's video-encryption password.

  • Changing that encryption password also changes the password used by supported RTSP and ONVIF local features.

  • The C6N support page documents a same-network RTSP webcam workflow for C6N, TY1 and TY2; this is model-scoped streaming evidence rather than a promise for all EZVIZ cameras.

Connection route

Consumer-camera support is model-dependent. Battery operation, a required hub, privacy modes and event-only streaming can affect whether an endpoint is available. Check the device’s own settings and generated address. A feature in one mains-powered camera should not be assumed on every doorbell or battery model.

ONVIF check

Support depends on the model, firmware and enabled service; video access alone does not prove discovery or controls.

Model-scoped stream examples

Templates require your actual host, service, stream path and authorized local credentials. Use only when the cited guide matches the product. No default password is supplied.

Use a private, reachable network for the first test. A working vendor cloud view does not prove that a separate computer can reach a local camera service.

Source titles retain the original document language. Check the current manual for your product; firmware, accounts and service availability can change.

Work through the checks

  1. Record the full model code and installed firmware. Confirm RTSP support in the model’s documentation before applying a path from another EZVIZ camera.

  2. Review EZVIZ’s current local-connectivity password instructions. A label verification code or an old tutorial may not describe a password that has since been changed.

  3. Locate the device’s LAN address and any required local-service setting. Keep the camera and first test client on a reachable trusted network.

  4. For a model whose guide specifies it, the published main-stream example uses /ch1/main on port 554. Treat that as a model-scoped template, not a universal EZVIZ address.

  5. Test the current local password with one stream. Do not weaken video-encryption or other settings blindly to compensate for a wrong model, account or URL.

Example to adapt
rtsp://CAMERA_IP:554/ch1/main

What to verify

Verify a changing image after reconnecting and document the model-specific route. RTSP playback does not establish ONVIF, two-way audio or PTZ support in the viewer.

AeoCam is available for Windows. Camera settings below describe protocol preparation, not a certification of a particular camera or a promise of every feature in every app version. Check the installed build and the Microsoft Store listing for current availability.

Vendor documents describe the camera or protocol. No physical-camera compatibility test is claimed here. Menus and capabilities can change with model and firmware.
