Getting AeoCam for Windows

AeoCam is currently developed for Windows. A public installer or Microsoft Store link has not yet been published on this website. Contact [email protected] for availability. iOS and Android downloads are not currently offered.

Connect an RTSP or ONVIF camera

Connect your Windows PC and camera to the same local network. Enable RTSP or ONVIF in the camera's settings if required, then use ONVIF discovery or enter the stream connection details manually.

Use the camera's local username and password. A manufacturer's cloud account may be different. Check the stream path, port, and exact model's protocol support; compatibility can vary by model and firmware.

Discovery or live video is not working

Confirm that the camera is powered on and reachable from the PC. Guest Wi-Fi, separate network segments, VPNs, and firewall rules can prevent discovery or connections. Allow the app on your trusted private network rather than disabling the firewall.

If discovery cannot find the camera, try the manual ONVIF or RTSP connection. For an authentication error, verify the camera credentials; for a timeout, check the address and port. Use the app's connection test and diagnostics to narrow down the failure.

PTZ controls are unavailable

Pan, tilt, zoom, and presets depend on the camera's ONVIF capabilities, selected media profile, and account permissions. An RTSP stream alone does not provide PTZ control. Some cameras support only part of these controls.

Check that the correct ONVIF device and profile are selected and that the camera account can control PTZ. Include the camera model and firmware version when asking for help.

Recordings or detection events are missing

First confirm that live video works. Then check the selected camera's detection settings, recording trigger, and any detection regions. A do-not-disturb period pauses event notifications and automatic recording triggers while live viewing can continue.

For recording problems, check the chosen local folder, write permissions, free disk space, retention settings, and whether a playable recording was created. A listed event does not always have an associated recording. Detection results depend on the scene, settings, and available device capabilities.

Send a useful support request

Email [email protected] with the AeoCam and Windows versions, camera brand and exact model, firmware version if available, what you expected, what happened, and steps to reproduce the issue. Include the error text and an exported diagnostic report if relevant.

Review attachments before sending. Remove passwords, private stream URLs, personal details, and footage that is not needed to explain the problem. For feature requests, describe what you are trying to do and the camera setup involved.
