Wyze Cam v4 RTSP: firmware status and connection checks

The short answer

Cam v4 has an official RTSP beta announcement for 4.52.17.10 dated July 27, 2026. Blanket advice that v4 can never provide native RTSP is outdated. The announcement alone does not prove the feature is enabled in every production build, region or account: check your installed version and menu.

Work through the checks

  1. Make sure the product is Cam v4 rather than Pan v4. These names refer to different cameras and do not share an interchangeable firmware image.

  2. Compare the installed version with current release notes and the original RTSP beta announcement. Record whether the device uses production or beta firmware.

  3. Look for RTSP under the camera’s Advanced Settings. If it is absent, verify the app version and release availability rather than guessing a stream URL or flashing another model’s image.

  4. When the menu is present, create the stream account and copy the generated URL. Keep its secure mode, address, port and path unchanged for the first test.

  5. Try a single LAN client and verify decoded video. If using a third-party bridge instead, inspect its current firmware compatibility and use the bridge host address, not the camera address.

What to verify

Save the actual firmware, route and playback result. Treat this guide as vendor-documented preparation; this page does not claim a physical Cam v4 has been tested with AeoCam.

Sources and scope

AeoCam is available for Windows. Camera settings below describe protocol preparation, not a certification of a particular camera or a promise of every feature in every app version. Check the installed build and the Microsoft Store listing for current availability.

Vendor documents describe the camera or protocol. No physical-camera compatibility test is claimed here. Menus and capabilities can change with model and firmware.
