Before uninstalling a camera app on Windows

The short answer

Locate recordings and connection information before uninstalling. Application removal and footage deletion are different operations; verify both instead of assuming one implies the other.

Work through the checks

  1. Identify the camera by model, hardware revision, firmware and MAC address. Keep this inventory separate from passwords; two devices with similar names may expose different protocols.

  2. Check the actual recording volume, available space and write permission. Confirm the folder belongs to the intended disk rather than an unavailable USB drive or a redirected system folder.

  3. Reopen a completed test clip and seek to a known event time if the player permits seeking. Confirm moving images, duration and camera identity; a thumbnail or event row alone is insufficient.

  4. Check who can see the live view, the field of view and the local files. Limit unnecessary capture and access; local storage does not by itself protect footage from other computer users.

What to verify

Follow Microsoft’s app-repair guidance before using reset or reinstall. Confirm which app data and local recordings must be preserved; do not assume reset retains every saved setting.

Sources and scope

AeoCam is available for Windows. Camera settings below describe protocol preparation, not a certification of a particular camera or a promise of every feature in every app version. Check the installed build and the Microsoft Store listing for current availability.

Vendor documents describe the camera or protocol. No physical-camera compatibility test is claimed here. Menus and capabilities can change with model and firmware.
