Original Wyze Cam Pan RTSP: first-generation firmware

The short answer

The original Wyze Cam Pan is listed in Wyze’s legacy RTSP firmware instructions. It must not be confused with Pan v2, Pan v3 or Pan v4. In particular, Wyze says the original Pan RTSP firmware is not compatible with Pan v2.

Work through the checks

  1. Identify the first-generation product from its label and Device Info. Do not identify a camera solely by its white housing or its ability to pan.

  2. Read the official original-Pan firmware instructions, including maintenance and feature limitations. Retain the existing version and recovery information before deciding to flash.

  3. Use only an official file intended for this generation. Follow the documented microSD preparation and setup-button sequence; another Pan generation’s instructions are not a substitute.

  4. After setup, create the legacy RTSP account and copy the generated URL. Keep stream credentials distinct from the email and password of the Wyze account.

  5. Start with one client on the local network. Observe moving video, then reconnect; check pan/tilt using its own documented control route rather than assuming RTSP carries commands.

What to verify

Record that this is first-generation legacy firmware. A working picture does not remove its maintenance limits or prove control support in AeoCam.

Sources and scope

AeoCam is available for Windows. Camera settings below describe protocol preparation, not a certification of a particular camera or a promise of every feature in every app version. Check the installed build and the Microsoft Store listing for current availability.

Vendor documents describe the camera or protocol. No physical-camera compatibility test is claimed here. Menus and capabilities can change with model and firmware.
