Troubleshooting

Wyze RTSP option missing: model, app and firmware

The short answer

A missing RTSP menu is a preparation problem before it is a player problem. Check the exact camera, installed app and firmware branch. Similar model names and an outdated article can lead to the wrong instructions; inventing a stream path cannot enable a service that is not available.

Work through the checks

  1. Open Device Info and record the full model and firmware. Distinguish Cam v3 from v3 Pro and Cam v4 from Pan v4 before following any tutorial.

  2. Update your understanding from the current release notes. The v3/Pan v3 feature introduction calls for app 3.9 or later; old legacy guides describe a different branch.

  3. Check Advanced Settings from the individual camera’s settings, not only the group or Web View page. Compare with the menu location documented for that firmware.

  4. For a beta-only or staged feature, verify enrollment and availability for your device. Do not assume another user’s screenshot proves your production camera has the same feature.

  5. If the model or branch lacks a documented option, check vendor support or an explicitly compatible bridge. Do not flash another generation’s firmware to reveal a menu.

What to verify

Before testing a viewer, obtain a real generated stream address or a verified bridge endpoint. Record an unavailable feature honestly instead of reporting a playback failure.

Sources and scope

AeoCam is available for Windows. Camera settings below describe protocol preparation, not a certification of a particular camera or a promise of every feature in every app version. Check the installed build and the Microsoft Store listing for current availability.

Vendor documents describe the camera or protocol. No physical-camera compatibility test is claimed here. Menus and capabilities can change with model and firmware.
